Beginner Strings Ensemble (Violin, Viola, and Cello)

CLASS DESCRIPTION:  

A beginner approach to Strings instruction.   This Fun-filled string class will teach your child

 the basics in string technique, music theory as it applies to their string instrument.  

Emphasis will be placed on posture, position and note-reading skills, rhythm reading,

geographic location of the letter names on the strings, and will develop finger dexterity.  

Your child will be able to play familiar songs by the end of this program.

Course Outline:   Rhythm Reading, Note Reading, Letter Name location, Finger dexterity,

Posture – Body Alignment Musical Symbols (definitions),

Music Theory Games, String Skills Application.

GRADES:  K to 5th grade

MIN/MAX # OF STUDENTS:  8 students to 30 students

NUMBER OF SESSIONS:  8 week sessions
